1. To properly house, feed, water and exercise all dogs under their care and arrange for appropriate veterinary attention if and when required.
2. That they will not allow any of their dogs to roam at large or to cause a nuisance to neighbours or those carrying out official duties.
3. They will ensure that their dogs shall wear properly tagged collars and shall be kept fully leashed or under effective control when away from home.
4. They will clean up after their dogs in public places or anywhere their dogs are exhibited.
5. They will agree without reservation that any Veterinary Surgeon carrying out an operation on any of their dogs which alters the natural conformation of the animal may report such an operation to the Kennel Club.
6. They will not sell any dog to commercial wholesalers, retail pet dealers or directly or indirectly allow dogs to be given as a prize or donation in a competition of any kind.

Members should only export dogs to countries where there are controls on breeding and selling dogs, and where there are effective animal protection laws similar to those in the UK. (WSPA statement; At present there are virtually no controls on breeding/selling dogs nor any effective animal protection laws in Japan, Korea, Thailand or China).
8. They will not knowingly misrepresent the characteristics of the breed nor falsely advertise dogs or mislead any person regarding the quality of the dog.
9. They will behave in a suitable manner at any organised canine event, un-sportsmanlike behaviour reflects adversely on the Club and it’s good name and will not be tolerated.
10. They will not deliberately or maliciously degrade any judge, owner or breeder, or their dogs.
11. They will abide by the French Bulldog Club of England ‘Breeders Charter’ should they engage in the breeding of French Bulldogs be it male or female.
